Jumbro gives a blurry Spring Fling Recap — with Pictures

So since we hyped the shit out of good Spring Fling is and how it’s gonna be the best day ever, I don’t wanna hear any bitching about it sucked or anything. It didn’t, it was pretty fucking good. So there, that’s all taken care of. Anyway, for all you pre-frosh or people who don’t go to this fine institution we call TU, imma recount my experience. 6:55 am: GraceisGone’s alarm goes off. He pops out of bed like it’s NBD, …

jnap’s Keys to Spring Fling

Editor’s Note: We’ve got some advice from our alumni buds coming to you over the next couple days to get you prepared for Spring Fling. You can check out Shield’s from earlier, and look for HighTower’s tomorrow. Be prepared. Spring Fling is pretty hard to fuck up, but here are three keys to the day – just in-case you’re bad at having fun. Be Prepared The last thing you want to do on Spring Fling is wait in lines, do …

Shawn Johnson speaking at TU? Sign me up

I’m really curious what a tiny gymnast is going to lecture about. I hope it’s popping tacos. Whatever it is, I’d fuck her. Also many other Olympians. Anyway, we’ll be at her lecture next Wednesday, and then hopefully lure her back to our headquarters… you know, for after lecture drinks and shit. We’re real classy. More videos of her after the jump.

CONFIRMED: Drake, OK Go, and Sam Adams to play Tufts Spring Fling

If we’re the first thing you check when you wake up in the morning, BREAKING NEWS!!!! Rockers OK Go, and rappers Drake and our boy Sam Adams are playing Tufts Spring Fling this year. We dig it. If you already saw the Daily article, then well, I guess we’re half a step late. Whatever. But yeah, W2FY endorses this line up. Bold strategy with two kinda mid-level performances in Ok Go and Drake, but I bet Sammy Adams eats this …

New Spring Fling Policy shows that Tufts simply doesn’t grasp the “drinking problem”

The Tufts Administration recently announced changes to the Spring Fling alcohol policy aimed to reduce alcohol related incidents. In attempt to stop students from over-indulging during the concert, of-age students will no longer be able to bring up to a six-pack of beer into the concert. Unfortunately, this change completely ignores the issue at hand, and will only make matters worse for both students and the administration. As we’ve talked about before, college administrations seem to think that by making …

Drake to play Tufts Spring Fling 2010?

Now we’ve got no legitimate backing to this besides an inconclusive tour date on Drake’s MySpace and the general rumor mill, but word on the street Drake will be playing at Tufts for Spring Fling. I put in a call to his booking agent and she told me (very sketchily I might add) that “she doesn’t know anything about that,” but he is scheduled to play in Boston at a “Private Party” on May 1st at 2:00 pm. Those fit …

Congrats Harvard Students, You are all “The Man”

So apparently a couple of Harvard students came to Tufts on Valentine’s Day to party.  They then wrote an article about it in some bullshit Harvard newspaper magazine job (Mistake #1: Not having a site such as W2FY…hardcopy prints are soooo pre-recession).  Here is the article. I’m not going to rip them apart because Gawker already did that better than I ever could.  Also, check out the comments on the original article.  I will say this though; although everyone had Monday off, …

Olympic action, crazy girls on facebook, and Tiger’s speech reactions.

The USA defeated Canada last night in some Olympic hockey action 5-3. Go team USA. The Olympics are in full swing and the US has won more medals than previously estimated and is leading the medal count with 24. But one medalist has been asked to leave the games for racy photos. [TMZ] Watch out for your psycho girlfriends on FB, desperate girls (and all girls for that matter) are just crazy. [Brobible] Here are the 50 greatest things ever …

Dartmouth’s new alcohol policy sucks almost as much as Tufts’

Your college administration wants you (and more importantly, the media) to believe that the biggest issued faced by colleges today is alcohol abuse. We can only partially disagree, ’cause, shit, you and I both know that we’re drinking a fuck ton. But, even though it may seem like college kids are dying every night due to over consumption of alcohol, this is simply not the case. Sure, kids get drunk (and often schnockered-the-fuck-up beyond belief), but that’s inevitable when you …
