Ladies and gentleman, a great man died today. West Virginia Senator Robert Byrd passed away this morning at the age of 92. He served for 51, and was part of many historic Senate votes. However, what he may be best remembered for was his passionate speech on dogfighting after Michael Vick’s conviction. Simply barbaric. Anyway, RIP Senator Byrd. Congratulations to Senator Robert Byrd from the great state of West Virginia. Today he officially became the longest serving congressman in US history having served nearly 57 years.
