W2FY Presents: Why I love warm weather

I woke up this morning to sun shining through my window. My room didn’t feel like an ice box. And when I went outside, it wasn’t thirteen fucking degrees. You know what that means boys and girls: we’ve almost made it to spring.

Now spring has to be my favorite time of the year. The weather isn’t fucking Arctic, but it still isn’t too hot, I can start wearing shorts and boat shoes non-stop, and sleeves are always optional. And to top it off, chicks start wearing sundresses and other warm weather clothes. It’s the perfect culmination.

Warm weather (and spring at TU in general) means I can cancel (yes, cancel, not skip) all my classes, buy a 30 of cheap beer, sit on my balcony, and get rip roaring hammered in the middle of the day, light up the grill, cook some burgers, and just chill. Fuck school, get drunk — it’s the motto of warm weather…

Tufts ends Naked Quad Run, and the pussification of America continues

So the big news in the Daily today is Larry Bacow comes down with the decision that Tufts isn’t going to sanction NQR any more. His reasoning: “Given that we can no longer manage the run, we cannot allow this ‘tradition’ to continue,” Bacow said in the op-ed. “Even if I did not act now, NQR would end some day. The only question is whether a student has to die first.” “We cannot allow this to happen, and the Naked …

Bromosexual recounts Tufts NQR 2010

You might be aware of Tufts annual naked tradition, the Naked Quad Run. Our account from last year was so popular, we asked Bromosexual to give us a recap of the drunked revelry and nakedness that occurred this year. If you have any NQR stories of photos (hot chicks only) send them to mail@w2fy.com and we’ll throw it up on the site. As many know, NQR took place this last Friday and like every year it was fucking freezing. Throughout …

Becks and Kage breakdown the top 10 sexiest Halloween costumes

So it’s finally October.  Yes, we know this awesome month is almost over but let us just tell y’all why it’s hella tite.  Well this first thing we tend to think of when we hear the word October is.. duhh Oktoberfest.  We’re talking some damn good beer.  Sam Adams is obvi at the top of the list.  Paulaner  and Spaten Oktoberfest come in close second.  And it’s like the last moth of fall, so in between all those midterms (least …

How to Survive the Library: Part 1 – The Hangover

It’s Sunday morning. Possibly even afternoon at this point. Regardless, it’s the day after a great night out and it is time to buckle down and get the necessary homework out of the way. Your room has too many distractions, what with YouTube, Torrent, Hulu, Netflix… other videos… you get the picture. Plain and simple, there is just too much to do that isn’t what you need to be doing. So it’s time to give in, pack it up, and …

Becks and Kage do Homecoming

Recently we (Becks and Kage) were reminiscing on one of the most glorious days we could never remember- Homecoming. Now if you were like me, you would have spent the previous week in the local sketchy-as-balls hospital because you were dying of diseases no one has ever heard of before, probably as a result of drinking out of cups that were equally disgusting. Everyone else, on the other hand, started the game (and no, I do not mean football) bright …

Deltron critiques the new Tufts Alcohol Policy

We at W2FY recently found out about some new changes to the TU alcohol policy. Since we figured this is probably an important thing to know, and since the Daily sucks, we figured we’d report it yo ya’ll. Resident policy expert Deltron is doing this in two parts–one to familiarize all ya’ll with the policy, and the next one to describe what exactly this means for you drinking on campus. Tufts Emergency Medical Services (TEMS); the acronym has gone from …

Read this: Malcom Gladwell, “Drinking Games”

The parties would have been more aptly described as drinking parties. The host would buy the first bottle and issue the invitations. A dozen or so people would show up on Saturday night, and the party would proceed—often until everyone went back to work on Monday morning. The composition of the group was informal: sometimes people passing by would be invited. But the structure of the party was heavily ritualized. The group would sit in a circle. Someone might play …

The W2FY NHL 11 Drinking Rules

The W2FY HQ got our copy of NHL 11 over the weekend, namely based on the fact that GraceisGone told me he was pretty sure he saw it rated as “THE BEST… GAME… EVER!!!” on most advertisements. So yeah, we got. And it’s good. Like none of us played a lot of hockey games, but we decided to just jump in head on. Naturally, our first order of business was to get a rack of Busch Lite and get it …
