College!: The W2FY Packing List

It’s just about time for most NE schools to start their freshman orientation, and since Jumbro’s lil brother is packing off to head to Midd, he’s asking for advice on what to bring so he can make sure he’s the chillest kid on campus. Since we’re such a nice guys, we’ll share share the list with all ya’ll. If you’ve got anything to add, let us know in the comments.

  1. Sweatpants. These are probably the most essential item in your wardrobe. Wear them anywhere–to class, to the gym, to the library, to parties (pair with Timberlands to look like a badass), to the dining hall… these are never inappropriate.
  2. Longsleeve tees. These are easy to forget about, but are just comfy as fuck. Layer them, wear them alone, do whatever. Just a good cold weather staple.
  3. Hats. Can’t show off the flow without the proper lid. Steal these from your local little league for extra street cred. You’ll need some 59fifty’s, some snapbacks, and at least one sailor’s cap. Trust me.
  4. Boat shoes. I wear these everywhere, everytime of year. Most versatile shoe ever, and by far the chillest.
  5. Jeans. These are a staple. That’s it. Also good are khakis, corduroys, and athletic tear off pants. Rip those things off at parties to make your presence fucking known.
  6. Button down shirts. You’re gonna need to dress up eventually, so bring a couple of these. Don’t need to be extravagant, some plain Oxford button downs, some stripes, and some checks. Make sure you have the appropriate ties to look extra chill.
  7. Athletic tees from schools that aren’t yours. It’s all about looking chill as shit in shit that isn’t yours. So steal all your friends college tees and wear those. Nothing says “I’m the fucking man” like a St. Anselm Skiing performance shirt. So chill.
  8. Boots. Might be easy to forget about if you’re from the south, but if it snows where you’re going to school, you’ll need something water-proof. Timberlands are always clutch, but anything will do.
