Sometimes I want to be all retro and shit and say things like “automobile” and “testicles” in my daily usage. Today I used the word “tube,” referring to a TV of course, but then I realized that most TVs nowadays are LCD or Plasma. There are far less CRT (cathode ray tube) TVs around. LCD and Plasma TVs don’t have tubes, if you don’t count the CCFL, or florescent light, tubes used to backlight the TVs. What the hell are grandparents going to say now that they can’t use ”boob-tube”? It is a sad day for senior citizens.
Side Note: “Senior Citizens” in itself is bullshit. What about all the old people that are illegal immigrants?
