Iran has decided to ban Gmail. I just don’t understand irrational world leaders. There fucking President Ahmadinejad does not believe the Holocaust exists and now he is trying to block the communication of his people to the rest of the world. This is just like the time he blocked Twitter from his country. Why on earth would someone try and block the Google email service from everyone in his country? For one thing, there are plenty of other emails services that the Iranian people could use. There is still Yahoo mail, Hotmail, Outlook Express, and countless other email providers. It just doesn’t make sense… But what is the most humorous is that Iran will be implementing its own national email service for everyone in the country to use. Clearly they are just going to monitor everyone’s emails to make sure that no one says anything against the government, so much for free speech. I guess Communism is alive, well, and growing…
“Very emotional, very scared. Not the positive way you want to be starting the Olympics”
In other news, it appears like Lindsey Vonn might not be able to ski at the Winter Olympics! ESPN is reporting that she is in a lot of pain and the possibility of her skiing is not 100%. She apparently bruised her shin and can not lean forward at all. This is very bad for Vonn, a two time defending World Cup champion, who was certainly an Olympic gold medalist hopeful in multiple events. She has described her pain as “very emotional, very scared. Not the positive way you want to be starting the Olympics.” She has received a lot of press recently for appearing provocatively on the cover of SI. I mean she is hot and I just really hope she will be able to compete and win some medals for Team USA!
